Whether round or rectangular, what kind of borderline is allowed, which ink colors are allowed, and what information is required on the notary stamp are all critical features. 

There is one thing that new notaries should be mindful of. A notary stamp is different from a notary seal embosser, which is a metal clamping device that creates a raised, round indentation on the document with the information engraved on the plate. There’s no ink on this device, so when placing your order, be sure that you know the difference. 

Why is it important to know all this information?
