  • Training Class: Enroll in and complete the training course through the Secretary of State’s Notary Division.

  • Examination: After your training, pass the required examination.

  • Surety Bond: Obtain a $10,000 surety bond, which you need to file with your county clerk.

  • Application Submission: Use the Nevada SilverFlume online portal to submit your application, including your filing notice, training certificate, and filing fee.

  • Official Notary Stamp: Once approved, obtain your official notary stamp. Provide the original or certified copy of your Certificate of Appointment to an approved vendor.

  • Notary Journal: Purchase a notary journal to keep accurate records of your notarial acts.


Steps to Become a Remote Online Nevada Notary

  • Hold a Current Notary Commission: Ensure you already have a commission as a traditional Notary Public.

  • Register for eNotary Training: Sign up for the eNotary training course available on the Secretary of State’s Business Portal.

  • Pay Registration Fees: Submit the $45 registration fee.
